What is my Job as SE Optimizer How I Charge |
On one hand SEO is evolving and on the other SEO myths are getting crazier. The first SEO Myth I want to get out of way is that SEO is a myth. Believe me; I actually met a Stone-Age guy who thought SEO in itself was a myth and over-rated. He had logics that I don’t even want to start talking about. I thought it better to let his website rest in peace and wound up. Such people make for difficult, rigid clients and have unreasonable expectations. SEO’s have never claimed to doubled up as magicians after all! To think of SEO as a myth speaks about one’s lack of awareness. SEO is a full-fledged technique that can be built into a campaign and implemented on a website at various stages. This exercise helps the product, service or message in the website to spread and circulate amongst its target audience. If you are selling diet pills on your website, optimizing your site will ensure that serious diet pill buyers reach your site and not visitors looking for dog food. This is the power of SEO. It drives user/buyer of your product and services to your site. This means SEO is far from being some wonder drug or steroid that will make a website run until adrenalin lasts. On the contrary SEO is an ongoing exercise that helps to improve a website’s SE positioning organically, adding credibility to it and attracting targeted traffic to it. An organically optimized site retains its position in SE much longer and doesn’t let it slip until new, healthy competition emerges. Optimizing goes beyond identifying and placing the keywords strategically. It should ideally be considered at the time of designing the website. SEO is about integration of web design, development, and internet marketing with focused traffic-generation tactics that is vital to the success of a website. Without all these the best of concepts can fail. Keeping your site looking and sounding fresh with unique and latest updates all the time is primary trigger that will encourage visitors to come back to it. It should also be fun and attractive. Mastering SEO by reading an eBook or attending one workshop does not hold much water. SEO algorithm and internet dynamics keep changing all the time and unless one is keeping himself updated on latest changes, it’s of little use. If you have a website that you would like me to assess and suggest steps for improvement, do send me a mail. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
